While in Singapore to work on his PhD thesis on Budo, Takeshi Takase sensei from Toin Yokohama University joined us for Thursday practice.

Members took part in the 10th Inter-Club Kendo Tournament 2023 held and organised by Singapore Management University Kendo Club on 10 - 11 June 2023. It was a great opportunity for members to bond outside of practise.

In the past three weeks, dojo training has been suspended due to the tightening of new Covid-19 safety measures.

Adhering to the revised government safety guidelines, we moved our training outdoors and used the opportunity to practice Nippon Kendo Kata.

Referee and Team Shiai training, 24 Oct 2020

The Covid-19 pandemic changed the landscape of Kendo in 2020. In a challenging environment, the wearing of medical masks, face shields, and safe distancing during training became the new normal.

With travel restricted, we continued to practice as normally as we could, organizing several refereeing and team shiai training during the course of the year.
